Throughout the EIS process, we have kept you, the community, informed via this website. The first major public involvement opportunity was scoping in January and February 2009. Second, a review period for the Draft EIS extended from May 21 to July 6, 2010 and public meeting were held in the areas near MCAS Miramar and MCAS Yuma. Over 150 people attended these open-house meetings. Comments relevant to the Proposed Action are addressed in the Final EIS and additions, corrections, and items of clarification have been included and noted.

The Final EIS Notice of Availability was announced in the Federal Register on October 22, 2010 and marked the 30-day waiting period that ended on November 22, 2010. The Record of Decision was signed on December 9, 2010.
